Goodman Fielder required an automated solution to de-stack, pre-clean, and feed baking and bread crates into a washing machine, and the system needed to process 30 trays per minute. The system was required to remove the tedious and challenging manual handling of the crates as well as the disposal of debris, leftover products and bags that get left in the trays.
We developed an H101 Crate washing and loading system for Goodman Fielder, which was designed with operator ergonomics in mind. Stacks of crates are slid (not lifted) onto the infeed of the de-stacker where the machine then conveys them into the cell for processing. The crates are taken from an interleaved state to all the same orientation to enable them to be indexed through the inverter (to empty rubbish out) and then presented to the infeed of the washer.
