The customer approached RML looking for a solution to insert cardboard lids onto cartons of pet food sachets.
The machine RML produced plucks the lid blanks from a magazine using a servo controlled vacuum pickhead, the plucked blanks are drawn back through a form which erects the lid.
The unlidded boxes are feed into the machine where they are collated two wide in the centre using a series of pneumatic pushers.
The lids are pressed into the boxes and the boxes are outfeed.
Our integrated, advanced operation ensures the best quality cream cheese is produced consistently.
It was an opportunity to increase the packing line automation, with labour savings offsetting the capital costs.
RML worked with us to understand our requirements and designed a solution to suit our needs. RML delivered an automated system to service two moulding machines producing the Gallagher Ring Top Posts.
